1. FAQ before Signing Up
Who may join w3exit?
Only web dev related sites may join w3exit exchange. All
new member sites have to be approved by our editors before you
can start earning visitors. Web development refers to sites with
the following theme:
- web design (HTML, XML, etc.)
- web programming (Perl, PHP, ASP, etc.)
- web graphics
- webmaster resource
- web hosting
- web security
- web dev related softwares
- other web dev sites as deemed appropriate by our editors
How are visitors earned?
Each unique visitor to your site will only see 1 w3exit
popunder window during their entire visit. This is counted as
1 credit. For every 2 credits earned (2:1 ratio), you get a popunder
display of your site to another unique visitor at a member site.
You earn 1 real unique and targeted visitor with every 2 credits.
Will my visitors get bombarded with popunder windows?
No, never. Only 1 popunder window is ever displayed to
each unique visitor. This ensures your visitors are not deluged
with tons of popunders but just 1 surfer-friendly popunder during
their entire visit at your site.
Is w3exit free?
Yes. Exchanging visitors through w3exit is free.
How is w3exit better than other exit exhanges?
None of the existing exit exchanges is entirely devoted to web
dev sites. By joining w3exit, you are getting much more
targeted traffic. Better traffic means better conversion ratios
for your products and services.
It doesn't make sense for your web dev related site to receive
general audience who are not interested in web development.
Can I refer new members and earn more credits?
YES! Refer new members to us and earn 20% of their credits earned
permanently. This is a very attractive and easy way to build a
residual flow of traffic month after month!
I just signed up. Does my new account need to be approved?
Yes. Our editors need to approve all new accounts. When your
account is approved by an editor, an Activation Email is sent
to your email address.
Click on the activation link in the email to activate your account.
You may then access your account and add the popunder code to
your website.
We usually approve all new accounts within 24 working hours.
If your website is rejected, a personalized email is usually
sent explaining the reason. However we do not send rejection emails
for obvious rejected cases.
If you have not heard from us regarding your new account, you
may contact us and we'll gladly check
it out for you.
Are there anti-cheating mechanisms in place?
w3exit is very aggressive against cheats who try to generate
false credits. Our system has been extensively designed to prevent
and detect cheats. The system will only associate 1 credit to
each unique visitor within a specific time period.
Once abnormal or excessive display activities are detected, our
technicians are immediately paged and offending accounts are banned
permanently. All credits earned are forfeited.
Cheaters are reported to the relevant legal authorities for criminal
investigation. In addition, we will initiate civil legal actions
to recover damages.
We'll also publish the cheaters' information (name, address,
email, IP, phone, etc.) on our website prominently under a Cheaters'
Page.

2. FAQ for Approved Member Sites
I just added my code but the popunder does not appear?
If you've seen a w3exit popunder within the last half hour,
our system will not deliver another popunder to you. As long as
your HTML code is added between the <head> and </head>
tags, it's OK. Login to your account and check your stats a few
hours later. If you're earning credits, then you added the code
correctly.
How can I earn maximum credits?
You should add w3exit code to EVERY page on your
site. This way, no matter how your visitors enter, exit or
navigate your site, they will always be shown 1 w3exit
popunder - earning you a credit.
No matter how many pages your visitors browse on your site, they
will only be shown 1 popunder.
Can I display other popup or popunder windows?
Yes, BUT not on the landing page (specified in your account)
where our system send w3exit visitors to.
This is to preserve a surfer-friendly experience for every w3exit
user. We do not want users to be deluged with tons of popup/unders
but just 1 surfer-friendly w3exit popunder during their
entire visit at member sites.
We're OK as long as your landing page is free of non-w3exit
popup/unders. You may however serve non-w3exit popup/unders
on other pages.
Can I use other exit exchanges?
No. We do not allow member sites to use any other popunder
exit exchanges. If you use other popunder exchanges, while using
w3exit simultaneously, your account will be suspended immediately.
Can my webpage break out of the w3exit bar frame?
No, you may not use "break out" javascripts or "_TOP"
http links to break out of our w3exit bar frame. The w3exit
bar is meant to indicate that the site displayed was through our
exit exchange network. In addition, whenever a new member joins
our network through clicking on the bar, they are automatically
assigned to you. You earn 20% of the the credits they earn permanently.
Can I display my w3exit code on other websites that
I own?
No. Your w3exit code may ONLY be displayed on the approved
website in your account. We monitor all accounts for any attempts
to display code on non-approved sites. Such attempts are easily
detected by our anti-cheat mechanisms. Offending accounts will
be suspended.
Can I purchase bulk traffic and use w3exit popunder code
on the bulk traffic landing page to earn more credits?
NO.
You may buy bulk traffic BUT your w3exit popunder code
CANNOT be present on the landing page
where the bulk traffic are sent to.
We define bulk traffic as any sort of cheap "100K visits
for $99" type of traffic or similar traffic packages. Even
if they are so-called "targeted traffic", they will
be considered bulk traffic.
Our system has been extensively enhanced to detect bulk traffic
patterns very accurately. If a member is found funneling bulk
traffic through w3exit, we will immediately terminate the account
and consider full legal recourse.
Bulk traffic are often untargeted and worthless.
They do not benefit members and only serve to dilute the effectiveness
of w3exit popunder exchange.
Can I simply reload my exchange page to earn more credits?
No. Such actions are considered cheating. Moreover, our system
only counts 1 credit per unique visitor. No matter how many times
you try to click, it won't work. This way every member is assured
of 1 REAL unique visitor for every 2 credits earned. Excessive
reloading will also trigger our anti-cheat mechanisms.
Can I turn off cookies and cheat more credits?
No. All visitors' IP addresses are logged by our system and filtered
by our anti-cheat mechanisms. We only allow 1 popunder per IP
address within a specific time period. If excessive or abnormal
activities are detected by a certain IP address or block of IP
addresses, our technicians are paged and offending accounts are
banned permanently. All credits earned are forfeited.
What about popup killer softwares?
Our system has been extensively designed to ensure that credits
earned / spent are accurately logged only when a popunder is properly
displayed without being killed by a pop killer software. This
additional safeguard ensures that our members' hardearned credits
are not wasted!
