Is w3exit™ Button Exchange free? Yes. Exchanging buttons through w3exit™ button exchange is free. How is w3exit™ Button Exchange better? None of the existing button exchanges is devoted to web dev sites. By joining w3exit™ button exchange, you are getting much more targeted traffic. Better traffic means better conversion ratios for your products and services. It doesn't make sense for your web dev related site to receive general audience who are not interested in web development. Will my button need to be approved? Yes. Our editors will need to approve all new buttons uploaded. However you may begin earning credits by using your button code on your web pages. After you've uploaded your button, our editors will check it for compliance. When your button is approved, the button status in your account will show "Approved" or "Enabled". All account/button changes need to be approved by the editors. Turnaround is usually within the same working day. How can I earn maximum credits? You should add w3exit™ button code to EVERY page on your site. This way, no matter how your visitors enter, exit or navigate your site, they will always be shown w3exit™ buttons - earning you credits. What is the Button exchange ratio? The default exchange ratio is 2:1. However if your all-time clickthru rate falls below 0.2%, your exchange ratio falls to 3:1. If your site clickthru exceeds 0.35%, your exchange ratio is increased to 3:2 With a 3:2 ratio, you earn 2 credits for every 3 buttons displayed. This better ratio is to encourage members to place the buttons at better locations on their site.

Please do not exceed the maximum number specified above. Otherwise our system will suspend and flag your account for review by our editors. Our system has been designed to spider and monitor member sites regularly for compliance. If you want to use both 88 x 31 and 120 x 60 buttons on your webpages, you may use up to a maximum of 1 for the 88 x 31 size and 1 for the 120 x 60 size - on the same page. Can I select the categories of buttons I want displayed on my pages? Yes. We require members choose ALL or any 5 categories of buttons (out of 6) to display. Example: if your site is 'Web Template' and you don't want other template buttons, you can choose 5 other categories besides 'Web Template'. Can I display other NON-w3exit buttons on the same page? Yes, of course. But not excessively please. Where should I display w3exit buttons? We recommend that you insert the button code at prominent locations. Better locations = more clicks. For every click your visitor generates, you're rewarded with 10 bonus button credits. Note: The buttons MUST be visible. Any act of concealing buttons (through frames, etc.) is considered cheating. Our system has been designed to spider and monitor member sites regularly for compliance. What types of buttons are allowed? Here are the specifications of buttons allowed on w3exit button exchange. Buttons will be uploaded to our servers and they must pass the screen and file sizes tests before they are approved.
If you buttons exceed the above file sizes, we recommend that you re-compile them with smaller color palettes. Usually a switch from 256 colors (for gifs) to 128/64/32/16 colors can reduce file sizes substantially while maintaining the same appearance. Can I purchase bulk traffic and use w3exit buttons on the landing page? NO. You may use bulk traffic BUT w3exit button codes cannot be present on the landing page where the bulk traffic are sent to. If a member is found funneling bulk traffic through w3exit, we will immediately terminate the account and consider full legal recourse. Bulk traffic are often untargeted and worthless. They do not benefit members and only serve to dilute the effectiveness of w3exit button exchange. Can I refer new members and earn more credits? YES! Refer new members to us and earn 5,000 bonus credits for every approved member. This is a very attractive and easy way to get extra credits. Are there anti-cheating mechanisms in place? w3exit™ is very aggressive against cheats who try to generate false credits. Our system has been extensively designed to prevent and detect cheats. Once abnormal or excessive display activities are detected, our technicians are immediately paged and offending accounts are banned permanently. All credits earned are forfeited. Cheaters are reported to the relevant legal authorities for criminal investigation. In addition, we will initiate civil legal actions to recover damages. We'll also publish the cheaters' information (name, address, email, IP, phone, etc.) on our website prominently under a Cheaters' Page. Can I display my w3exit™ button code on other websites that I own? No. Your w3exit™ button code may ONLY be displayed on the approved website in your account. We monitor all accounts for any attempts to display code on non-approved sites. Such attempts are easily detected by our anti-cheat mechanisms. Offending accounts will be suspended. Can I simply reload my pages to earn more button credits? No. Such actions are considered cheating. Moreover, our system will only count a pre-determined maximum number of credits per unique visitor. No matter how many times you try to reload, our system won't count the impressions once the maximum number per visitor is triggered. Excessive reloading will also trigger our anti-cheat mechanisms. Can I turn off cookies and cheat more credits? No. All visitors' IP addresses are logged by our system and filtered by our anti-cheat mechanisms. If excessive or abnormal activities are detected by a certain IP address or block of IP addresses, our technicians are paged and offending accounts are banned permanently. All credits earned are forfeited.
